Your wedding day is easily the biggest day of your life and it’s my joy to celebrate it with you. I’ll be there to make your job of enjoying every moment from vows to cake seamless and memorable. My business model is timeless, dynamic, and relational. I’ll tell your story through classic images that make you look and feel good for generations to come. And, it’s my hope to be there for you on your wedding day not only as your photographer, but as a friend.

If I’m not behind the lens, most days you can find me soaking up the sunshine or playing violin or viola. I’m a Northern Virginia native, so I know all the best hiking spots and views, which comes in handy for photo sessions and engagements! One of my favorite Washington, D.C. location shoots has been featured in a Capitol Romance and The Knot: How They Asked

Cherishing the little threads of life that bring people together has always been my heart. So, it was destiny that I became a wedding photographer.

It’s no secret that I love love. Roses, romance, dinner for two—yes please! Is it a bit sappy? Is it a tad cheesy too? Count me in! Beautifully crafted words of affirmation get me, and I’ll admit to spending hours flipping through collections of famous couple love letters.

Hi, I'm Rachel!

The Marriage Journal by Audrey and Jeremy Roloff. This is a special book I give to all of my couples on their wedding day. It’s a weekly journal to help you understand and connect with your spouse—and a newlywed favorite.

Best resource for newlyweds:

Summer nights, long walks, dancing in the kitchen (or really anywhere), hearing someone play a guitar, and roses! I love roses.

What makes me swoon:

The first dance! I’ve teared up nearly every single first dance I’ve ever photographed. Gives me all the feels!

Best wedding tradition:

visiting all the waterfalls in Virginia. They may not technically be waterfalls if you’re from any other part of the country, but hey, it’s home for me and I’m in love with Virginia!

Bucket list:

Lemonade by Chris Rice, Marry Me by Thomas Rhett, When I Say I Do by Matthew West

Best wedding song:

kombucha or an almond milk latte—yum!

Drink order:

Severe Mercy, The Notebook, P.S. I Love You, La La Land, I Still Believe

Favorite sappy love story (book, show, or movie):

I created an Instagram quiz with all my favorites.

P.S. Want to know more about the little things I love?
