Jenna and Jack got engaged on a beautiful April day on a weekend trip to upstate New York. Jenna planned the trip to show Jack one of her top 10 favorite places, Storm King Art Center (Google it! It’s stunning!). These two both love contemporary art (Jenna used to work in museums and Jack is an art teacher). Jack proposed in a secluded area overlooking some giant sculptures. It was perfect!
Elegant And Art filled Fall Line Hotel DC Wedding
Jenna and Jack’s choice of venue could not have been more perfect–a Line Hotel wedding has that easy elegance and architectural beauty you can’t help but love. It complimented their love of art perfectly!
Their vision for the wedding day would probably be best described as “simple elegance.” They kept it simple only the closest friends and family (30-35 guests) at The Line Hotel (their top DC staycation spot!). In terms of decor, they build off the stately/hipness of the large Monument suite and adjoining rooftop with an abundance of flowers and candles. The musical quartet was an added beautiful bonus! They celebrated with a lovely ceremony and meaningful rooftop reception afterward.
Favorite Photos
I had so many memorable photos from this day, but the two things that really stand out to me are the mirror bride and groom portraits (talk about epic!), as well as all the detail shots we were able to capture before their stunning ceremony. Stem & Thistle absolutely knocked it out of the park with their incredible display. It was a joy to watch them create such magic on that rooftop. Definitely made for the perfect backdrop for all the ceremony photos!
Final Thoughts
Jenna & Jack,
It was an honor to photograph your beautiful day! I loved every minute, every thoughtful detail, and all your trust as we documented your love & commitment to each other.
