Some wedding days are beautiful. Others feel like a moment suspended in time — soft, sacred, and quietly unforgettable. Olivia and Andrew’s winter wedding at Raspberry Plain Manor was exactly that.

A Winter Wedding Morning at Raspberry Plain Manor
The air carried a gentle December chill as the morning unfolded, crisp, still, and full of anticipation. Inside the bridal suite, warm light filtered through tall windows, catching on lace fabric, gold and silver details, and the soft movement of hands helping Olivia into her gown. There was an unspoken reverence and so much joy in the room — the kind that settles when something meaningful is about to begin. It was such a fun space to photograph the details and candid moments.

An Emotional First Look with Dad
One of the most tender moments of the day came just before the ceremony, Olivia’s first look with her father. We stepped outside, and all seemed to hush as he turned and saw her, emotion flooding every line of his face. It was the kind of moment that doesn’t need direction at all, only space to breathe.

A Quiet, Intentional First Look: Olivia & Andrew
Later, when Olivia and Andrew met for their first look, the world seemed to soften around them. Winter light fell gently across the secret garden as she walked towards him with voices low, smiles unguarded. No audience. No rush. Just presence. Their connection is steady and rooted, and in that quiet exchange, you could feel the weight and wonder of what they were stepping into together.

Black, White & Gold: A Classic Wedding Party Palette
Wrapped in a timeless palette of black, white, and soft metallics, their wedding party brought both elegance and joyful energy to the day. Fourteen bridesmaids and eight groomsmen filled the manor grounds with movement and laughter. Portraits felt effortless, refined, but full of life. They braved the cold like true champions and it was so worth it.

Sunset Husband & Wife Portraits in Leesburg, Virginia
As the sun dipped behind the hills right after their indoor ceremony, we stepped into the last golden trace of winter light for Olivia and Andrew’s portraits. The air was cool against warm hands. Their breath settled into quiet laughter. Those few moments yielded some of the most iconic sunset portraits I have ever captured.

A Candlelit Reception at Raspberry Plain Manor
Inside, Raspberry Plain Manor glowed with candlelight. Soft flickers danced across stone walls and tabletops as guests gathered after a lively cocktail hour, coats draped over chairs, glasses catching the light, voices rising in low, joyful hums. The sound of celebration built slowly and layered with warmth, movement, and anticipation.

Heartfelt Speeches, Tradition & Meaningful Moments
Speeches filled the room with tears and laughter. A sorority white rose moment filled the room with joy and cheers. Fraternity voices followed with rich, full, echoing tones through the manor like a benediction.

An Unforgettable Dance Floor Celebration
Then came the dances for the parents and bride and groom, unhurried, intentional, full of meaning. And when the dance floor finally opened, the night transformed. Music pulsed through the manor. Dresses moved in rhythm. Laughter spilled freely. Celebration became communal, unfiltered, and full. It was so much fun!

A Joyful Winter Exit to Close the Night
Their final exit felt less like an ending and more like a turning of the page, and as Olivia said in her vows, it is ‘only the beginning’ as a joyful dip beneath glowing lights, winter air swirling around them as they stepped forward into what comes next.
Olivia and Andrew, your wedding day was a reflection of everything you are — grounded, full of warmth, steady in love. Thank you for trusting me with something so sacred. It was an honor to witness every quiet breath, every joyful movement, every fleeting moment in between.
