Romantic Willow Brook Bridal Styled Shoot
I loved working with my good friend Bethany Denby at Denby Design Co on this Barn at Willow Brook styled shoot – she is such an incredible florist! We decided that we wanted a bouquet with a pop of color, but one that still suited the elegance and refinement of The Barn at Willow Brook.
Isn’t it such a unique bridal bouquet? I love it. The pink and blush tones she used made it feel so romantic, which was appropriate for the stunning wedding gown, while the variety of shapes gave it a dynamic wildness that suited the drama of the cathedral veil.
A Stunning Cathedral Veil
Capturing the elegance of the veil was Emma’s biggest request for the styled shoot, and it was also the most fun to do. Not every venue would be right for a cathedral-length veil, but the wedding barn on the property of The Barn at Willow Brook has soaring windows, tall ceilings, and plenty of natural light pouring in, which meant it matched the grandeur of the bride’s look. The pale wood finish worked perfectly with our color scheme, too.
Outside on the grounds, I loved playing around with the contrast between Emma’s sheer glamor and the rugged outdoor landscape. The Virginia wine country is so beautiful, and The Barn at Willow Brook has so many beautiful spots on their property to really make the magic happen when it comes to wedding day photos.
