Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details.
Others are beautiful because of the people.
Rachel and Kent’s wedding day on June 6, 2026, was both!
From their heartfelt ceremony at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church to their elegant reception at Tranquility Farm, every part of the day felt intentional, joyful, and full of genuine love. The atmosphere was calm and romantic from beginning to end, allowing everyone present to fully embrace the gift of being together and celebrating this new chapter.
As a photographer, there are certain couples who feel like old friends from the moment you meet them. Rachel and Kent were exactly that for me.
Their kindness, warmth, humor, and easygoing nature made every interaction feel effortless, and it was an absolute honor to document their wedding day. We had so much fun together!
A Meaningful Ceremony at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church
The day began at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, where Rachel and Kent exchanged vows surrounded by family, friends, and their faith community.
There is something uniquely beautiful about Catholic wedding ceremonies. The reverence, tradition, and significance of the sacrament create a foundation that feels both timeless and deeply meaningful.
As Rachel walked down the aisle, the emotion in the church was unmistakable. I loved getting to witness every moment as their photographer and be up there with Kent as he watched his bride walk towards him. The anticipation of the moment gave way to joyful smiles, quiet tears, and a celebration rooted in commitment and devotion.
It was a beautiful beginning to a truly remarkable day.
Elegant Wedding Style with Thoughtful Details
Rachel’s wedding style perfectly reflected the atmosphere she envisioned for the day: romantic, elegant, and timeless.
One of my favorite design elements was her bridesmaid attire. Rather than choosing a single dress style or color, Rachel selected a beautiful collection of complementary tones that created a sophisticated mismatched look. The varied colors added depth and personality while still feeling cohesive and refined.
Paired with the groom’s classic tuxedo and the polished attire of the wedding party, the overall aesthetic felt elevated without ever feeling overly formal.
Every detail worked together beautifully to create a celebration that felt authentic to Rachel and Kent.
Celebrating at Tranquility Farm
Following the ceremony, guests gathered at Tranquility Farm in Purcellville for an evening of celebration.
Nestled in Virginia’s countryside, Tranquility Farm offers a beautiful balance of natural scenery and elegant event spaces, making it an ideal setting for couples seeking a refined wedding experience with a relaxed atmosphere.
The property provided countless opportunities for meaningful moments throughout the day, from portraits with family and friends to quiet moments shared between the newlyweds.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how peaceful the entire day felt.
There was no rush.
No pressure.
Just two people fully present with one another and the people they love most.
Romantic Portraits Filled with Genuine Connection
When it came time for portraits, Rachel and Kent slipped effortlessly into simply being themselves.
Their connection is the kind that doesn’t require grand gestures or elaborate direction.
The way they looked at one another.
The quiet smiles they shared.
The ease they found in each other’s presence.
Those are the moments that made their gallery so special.
My goal as a photographer is always to create images that feel natural and true to who a couple is, and Rachel and Kent made that easy. Their relationship exudes warmth, trust, fun and friendship, creating photographs that feel both timeless and deeply personal. I would photograph them every month if I could!
A Day Full of Joy and Romance
As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed heartfelt conversations, joyful celebrations, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you wish a wedding day could last just a little longer.
Every part of Rachel and Kent’s celebration reflected what matters most: faith, family, friendship, and a love that feels steady and genuine.
Those are the weddings that stay with you long after the day is over.
And this one certainly will for me!
